Co-op Placements at Stevenson

Working with students, teachers, and parents in shaping the workforce of the future

Information for Teachers, Parents and Students about co-op placement opportunities with Stevenson.

At Stevenson we have participated co-op placements for local students for over over 20 years and welcome and encourage students with mechanical aptitude to consider co-op placement in the trades.

To all students, teachers, and parents, we wish to extend a warm welcome to students looking to explore career options in the trades. At Stevenson, we are fortunate to be able to offer exposure to 3 distinct trades, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.

Our experience with many of our highest performing team leaders points to the conclusion that many graduating high school students are very well suited to begin a successful and rewarding career path in the skilled trades.

Some of our best and longest standing tradespeople have began their careers in the trades with high school co-op placements which have lead to paid apprenticeships following graduation.

We are currently hosting students that are participating in the OYAP program and have hosted many who are Specialist-High-Skills -Majors.

In an effort to help bolster the future of the trades in Muskoka while supporting our local community, Stevenson Plumbing, Heating, and Electric is always looking for ways to foster a stronger a longstanding relationship with Local High Schools for co-op and dual-credit co-op placements.
